CROSSFLOW - Ultrasonic Flow Measurement System
A robust, accurate, reliable non-intrusive ultrasonic cross-correlation based flow measurement system for periodic or continuous monitoring to correct for instrument drift of on-line instrumentation.
- Transducer assemblies – designed for continuous monitoring in harsh (high temperature and high radiation) conditions; customized to pipe size and application.
Signal Conditioning Unit / Multiplexer – provides ultrasonic signal to drive the transducers and also performs hardware processing of the receiver signals for analysis. This component in combination with a multiplexer can monitor up to 16 transducers.
Signal Conditioning Unit / Parallel Processing – This unit allows simultaneous processing of data from several transducers. This component provides faster data processing of up to 16 transducers.
Signal Processing Unit – This component receives the data from the signal conditioning unit(s) and using the CROSSFLOW software performs sophisticated mathematical processing to determine the flow rate. It is the heart of the cross-correlation technology.
CORRTEMP - Ultrasonic Temperature Measurement System
A robust, accurate, reliable non-intrusive ultrasonic system that provides accurate measurement of the liquid temperature. It is used in conjunction with the CROSSFLOW system where the required temperature measurement for mass flow determination is not available or the existing temperature measurement is not accurate enough.
- Transducer assemblies customized to the pipe size and application.
Signal Conditioning Unit / Multiplexer – provides the signals to drive the transducers as well as conditioning the received signals from the receiver transducers.
Signal Processing Unit – With the CORRTEMP software, it performs all the mathematical and statistical data processing to determine the liquid temperature.
ACL – Algorithm Communication Layer
This software performs the communication interface between CROSSFLOW and the plant computers. It receives various plant parameters and performs various calculations to monitor the performance of the various plant indications and the CROSSFLOW system. It provides quality checks of both the plant and CROSSFLOW data. It also monitors deviation from various criteria and provides operator alarms if criteria are not met.
